the pix I promised

This is mom doing her impression of a Local. This is actually Thanksgiving day (the day we arrived) and it was the coldest day they had something like 40 degrees. The very next day it was 65 degrees and the rest of the vacation was between 65-75 degrees! But the water temperature was always about 58 degrees so no swimming

This is where mom went upstairs to take our picture. I borrowed Drea's BUG eye sunglasses to make the picture "work"
This is the Living room..... came with TV DVD/VCR/ Stereo/ Books/ DVDS and nick nacks all beach related!

We asked Drea if her dog Boom Boom ( I call him Boom Boomerton Boomhousen the 4th but drea calls him Boom) would get in the water. She said NOOOO he is tooooooo big and tooooooo top heavy and NO he is not going to get in the water.

So we climb the stairs over the dune ($500 fine if you climb on their valuable... UGLY...dunes... but if you go down the street a little it is only a $50 fine). Before I can make it down the steps Boom has already raced into the water and it was a hard time getting him out!

We learned a very important lesson when renting beach houses. THIS is Ocean View.
This picture is when you stand on the front Deck (or look out of the Front windows or doors) and technically you can see the ocean (OHHH man you can really HEAR it too ohhhh it was so wonderful waking up to that sound!)

We saw a house up the street that probably says OCEAN FRONT but you cannot see the Ocean because the house cannot see over the Dune.

MORAL of this trip: Look for Ocean Front AAAANNNND Ocean View.

This is the View from the Front if you turn to the right a little. As you can kind of see there are chairs and there is a huge table with more chairs so you can eat outside (which we did for lunch one day) and you can see more ocean and more ugly Dunes (why do they care so much about those NASTY looking dunes ... they look like they need to be mowed!)

So all we had to do was cross the street and climb thoses stairs and there was the water. There were quite a few stair cases we could climb to get to the Ocean!

Here Drea is letting Boom take her for a walk to play in the ocean.
This was a great time to come down here. It was mostly just locals who own these houses there( and a few thanksgiving renters)
But the way these houses are spaced out I am sure during the summer high season the beach is not very crowded. Plus there is the Sound right behind us so you can swim and play in the sand on one side and boat or jet ski on the other.

All in all it was an AMAZING trip and I think Our new thing is going to be Renting beach houses for Thanksgiving!

OOOOOOh I completely forgot to tell you about the HOUSE. IT WAS HUUUUUGE 3 bedrooms 3 bathrooms HUGE fully stocked Kitchen, Huge Living room ... sitting area upstairs.... washer dryer upstairs. VERY VERY VERY VERY nice! Maybe I will put those pictures up
